I have try many iPhone 3gs cases, Switcheasy Neo, Switcheasy Rebel, Incase Slider, and this is by far is the best case I used.

I, as many others have indicated also, spent a lot of time looking for the right case. This quest mostly boils down to personal taste. I wanted a case that was well made, felt good in my hand, protected the iPhone, didn’t add a lot of bulk to the phone and would not detract from the natural look of my 3GS. The CandyShell by Speck Products fit that criteria perfectly. It is easy to install and remove the iPhone from the shell, it performs exactly as advertised and it fit all of my criteria.

I only rated the product 4 stars because, I have only had the product for a week and there is one very minor problem. As mentioned in other reviews, the switch Ring/Silent on the iPhone is tough to turn on while it is in the shell. A minor problem that is easily overcome by using a finger rather than a thumb. It is easy to get it up, ooh can I say that? Let me rephrase, it is easy to turn it of, it’s putting it in the on mode, by pushing the button down/away from you that is the problem. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star review.

Besides reading the reviews here you might consider going to the Speck Products web site and watch the video reviews and how to’s. It was very informative.

I am completely in love with this case. I have dropped my phone three times on the hard concrete at work and my phone is still 100% the screen protector and the case itself are really rugged, and it’s still thin enough that the phone is still comfortable. You won’t get the sexy sleeknees that the iPhone has naked, but this case doesn’t take away from that like the otterbox and some others. It’s easy to snap on and off but your phone won’t just fall out of it. The case has a little lip so when your phone falls the screen doesn’t touch the ground. The only thing I would improve is the life of the case. I wish it would last longer. But I’m okay with buying a new one every six months if needed. This case protects my investment way better then I expected. I am impressed and will continue to be aCandyshell customer

I researched for way too many hours to find “just the right case” for my new 3gs. But now, having used the case, I think the time was well worth the effort. This case is outstanding, by far superior to any of the cases I’ve seen so far. Very good protection, which, of course, is the primary reason for getting any case.

This case has a very snug fit, which is good if you don’t plan on taking it off on a regular basis. The case is a tad bit thicker than other cases I’ve seen, which could be a problem if you are docking the phone (some reviews noted this problem already). It also seems difficult to remove the case, which for my needs is a good thing, but if you plan on swapping out cases a lot, or removing the phone in order to dock, this may not be the case for you.

Very comfortable to hold. Gives a little bit of extra traction in your hands, but because of the glossy rubber it slips in and out of the pocket more easily than other silicon cases.

Came with a screen protector as well. I messed up when trying to apply it and had to throw it away. But that was a problem with me, not the screen protector.

Overall, five stars because it met all my expectations. Highly recommended.
